CLEP/DSST Testing
Instructions for registering for the College Level Examination Program (CLEP/DSST)
1. Register with the national testing site.
• CLEP: Register with CLEP online at http://clep.collegeboard.org/. After paying the $93 fee, print the exam ticket.
• DSST: Register with DSST (DANTES) online at http://getcollegecredit.com. Payment is made online on the testing date via credit card.
2. Register for a test date at Blue Mountain Christian University via email to scarmichael@iarerobotics.com.
• We are limited to two workstations, so register well in advance of the preferred test date. Exams are always given on Friday afternoons starting at 1:30 PM. Dates are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Notify the test administrator if you need to cancel a reservation either by calling (662)685-4771, Ext. 147 or emailing scarmichael@iarerobotics.com. Do not cancel on the day of exam except in extreme emergencies.
3. On the exam day, pay the test administration fee in the Business Office located in Lowrey Administration Building.
• Exams are administered in the Testing Center which is located in the Paschal Student Union Center, first floor. If you arrive prior to the scheduled time of your exam and the door to the Testing Center is closed, please wait in the lobby area. When the Test Administrator is ready to begin admitting test takers, you will be directed to the testing room.
• Cell phones must be powered OFF, not on silent or vibrate, during the timed portion of the exam. If a cell phone sounds (rings or vibrates) during the exam, the test taker will immediately be dismissed, his/her exam cancelled, and a refund will not be available.
• Please allow at least 2 hours to take an exam.
• Only one CLEP exam can be taken per testing date.
• Please bring a photo ID to be used at check-in. Driver’s license or school ID are acceptable.
BMCU Testing Fees:
• BMCU Students: $25.00, payable at the time of testing by cash or check made out to Blue Mountain Christian University, or charge to your BMC student account.
• Non-BMCU students: $35.00, payable by cash (exact change) at the time of testing.
4. Bring a valid form of identification as specified and your receipt from the Business Office to the Testing Center.
• For the CLEP exam, bring your CLEP ticket. The ticket has the required code to begin the test.
• For the DSST exam, bring a credit card for online payment during the testing process.
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS:
• The testing staff is not permitted to supervise children. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to be left unattended or unsupervised during testing.
• CLEP study information is available at www.collegeboard.com/clep.
• There is a mandatory 6-month waiting period to retake an exam if a passing score is not received. If an exam is retaken within that time period, the test taker’s scores will be cancelled by CLEP.
